What is Respite Care?
Respite care is short term care that caters for
a. The short periods where caregivers have important commitments and are unable to look after their loved ones, when the foreign domestic worker goes on home leave, or when the caregiver is scheduled for medical treatments
b. Caregivers to take a short break from their caregiving role to take some time off for themselves
Go Respite is a new pilot programme that encourages caregivers to plan ahead and identify a suitable respite option that is able to meet their needs and those of their loved ones. Caregivers can pre-enrol with their preferred senior care centre or nursing home and complete some necessary pre-admission applications in advance. This shortens the time it takes to gain admission into respite care when you need it.
Econ Medicare is a proud partner of Go Respite and our participating nursing homes for this pilot are as below:

Give yourself peace of mind when you need to take a break from caregiving, or when the helper/domestic worker goes on home leave. For more information, please visit Silverpages to learn more about Go Respite and pre-enrol today!
Pre-enrolment does not guarantee placement with your preferred service provider, but aims to shorten the time for care activation when respite is needed. Placement is subject to available vacancies at your selected nursing home, and no significant changes to your medical condition from the point of pre-enrolment.
