Course information
The Ministry of Manpower requires all first-time foreign domestic workers (FDWs) to attend the Settling-In Programme (SIP), conducted in English or in the FDWs' native languages. It aims to better orientate and equip FDWs with basic knowledge about living and working safely in Singapore.

A first-time FDW is one who:
•    Has no employment record with MOM’s Work Pass Division; or
•    Has Work Permit records with MOM but did not collect her Work Permit cards previously. This includes FDWs who have worked in Singapore for brief periods in the past, or who have applied for Work Permits but did not eventually work in Singapore.

Course contents
SIP will be delivered through a combination of lectures, videos and practical sessions and will cover the following five modules:

1. Introduction to Singapore
2. Conditions of employment
3. Safety at home
4. Safety in other areas
5. Relationship and stress management

Class Schedule and Venue:
Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, Myanmese and English / International classes are conducted based on the class schedule below. Registration starts at 8.30am before class starts at 9.00am. Lunch hours are from 12pm to 1pm. Please note that classes are not available on Sundays and Public Holidays.

I) English/International – English Trainer (Indian & Cambodian nationals with presence of interpreters)

Course fees:
$75(inclusive of GST) per person

What to bring:
The following documents are required for verification at our centre before the FDW is allowed to attend SIP on the scheduled date:
a) FDW’s Passport (Original)
b) FDW’s IPA Letter (Photocopy)
c) FDW’s Embarkation Card
d) FDW’s Educational Certificate (photocopy)
•    Minimum of 8 years of formal education
•    Translated in English (English/International class only)

e) Confirmation slip (eNets payment only for course fee during online registration)
Important note: FDW will not be allowed to attend SIP course if any of the above documents are not produced during verification at the centre.
